Ann Bordelon has been named vice chancellor for finance and administration at the University of Arkansas, effective July 1.
Bordelon, an Arkansas native, has spent the majority of her career with Walmart and Ernst & Young. During her nearly 13-year tenure at Walmart, she served in various executive finance roles, including as CFO of Sam's Club, CFO of Walmart Asia, and global chief audit executive.
Following her retirement from Walmart, Bordelon worked for NOWDiagnostics Inc. of Springdale, then as CFO of Mitchell Communications.
She also serves on the board of America's Car-Mart and PHD Group Holdings LLC.
Bordelon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
She earned a bachelor’s accounting and information systems from the University of Arkansas and is a certified public accountant.
In addition, Bordelon has been affiliated with many volunteer organizations, including the Women's Leadership Board at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Arkansas Business Hall of Fame, and the Delta Gamma Foundation. She has served most recently as a founding board member of Thaden School in Bentonville.
