Brown Named to Research Alliance Board (Movers & Shakers)
Daryl Brown of MISO in Little Rock.

Daryl Brown, executive director of external affairs-south region at Midcontinent Independent System Operator, has joined the Arkansas Research Alliance board of trustees. Brown, a graduate of Mississippi State University and a 17-year veteran of the Army National Guard and Army Reserve, begins his service immediately.


Brent Brown has been promoted to foreman, CATV trouble at Conway Corp. Brown has been with the company since March 2004 when he was hired as an installer trainee. He has worked as a senior service technician for the last 10 years.

Ben Lawrence was promoted to foreman, CATV construction. Lawrence was hired in June 2010 as an installer trainee and worked most recently as senior construction technician.

Jeffrey Meriweather was promoted to foreman, CATV installation. He has been with the company since May 1991, most recently working as superintendent, CATV installation.

Tommy Nolen was promoted to senior foreman, telecom systems. He began his career with the company 20 years ago as an installer trainee. He has worked the last eight years as a CATV training/special projects coordinator.

Jason Schaal has been promoted to foreman, CATV maintenance. He has been with the company since 2008, when he was hired as a service technician. He was a senior system technician prior to his recent promotion.


Skyler Robinson is the new managed services engineer for Mainstream Technologies in Little Rock. Robinson is a certified technician specializing in structured cabling and network infrastructure. Before joining Mainstream, he worked as a data/fiber optic technician with Chreyton Electric for two-and-a-half years.
