Karen Wooten has been chosen as the director of physician practice management and physician recruitment at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. Wooten has 18 years of health care experience and has worked as an LPN in various physician clinics.
Dr. Arthur Johnson recently joined Baptist Health Neuroscience Center in Fort Smith as a neurosurgeon.
Johnson has more than 30 years of experience in neurosurgery and has worked in the Arkansas River valley since 1998.
Johnson previously served as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force and a staff neurosurgeon at the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Navin Kilambi, a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, has joined UAMS Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Fayetteville. Kilambi is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UAMS. Kilambi has two decades of experience in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, as well as service in the U.S. Navy.
Dustin McDaniel, the former Arkansas attorney general, has been elected to the U.S. Hemp Authority Board in Lexington, Kentucky. The board works on behalf of the growing hemp industry while also reaching government stakeholders.
