Dr. Keith E. Reitzel has been hired as chief medical officer at Baptist Health for the western part of Arkansas.
Reitzel will work closely with hospitals in Fort Smith and Van Buren as well as with 40 other clinics in the area.
Reitzel’s specialty is high-risk obstetric anesthesiology. He previously was chief medical officer of ambulatory surgery at Banner Health Facilities in Phoenix.
Dr. David Slay was appointed by CHI St. Vincent to program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Hot Springs. This program is new to CHI St. Vincent.
Slay has served as chief of staff for the past three years and as a physician leader for more than a decade.
Brad Martin of UAMS
Brad Martin has been appointed to the Midwest Comparative Effectiveness Public Advisory Council of the Institute for Clinical & Economic Review. Martin, who holds a doctorate in pharmacy, is a professor in the College of Pharmacy’s Division of Pharmaceutical Evaluation & Policy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
