Arkansas' Waltons Among Forbes' Top 12 Richest

Only one Walton family member was in the top 10 of Forbes magazine's list of the country's 400 richest people, and she doesn’t live in Arkansas.

The list, out today, shows the members of Walmart founder Sam Walton's family — siblings Alice, Jim and Rob — coming in at numbers 10, 11 and 12. Each is worth around $62 billion.

Alice Walton lives in Texas but founded and chairs Bentonville’s Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Last year, Jim Walton ranked No. 10 on the list. Alice and Rob ranked Nos. 11 and 12. Each was worth around $51 billion then.

Other Arkansans on the list include Johnelle Hunt at No. 249, worth $3.3 billion, and Warren Stephens at No. 327, worth $2.6 billion.

No. 1 on the list is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, worth $179 billion.

Four other Walton family members made the list. They were No. 31 Lukas Walton of Wyoming, the grandson of Walmart founder Sam Walton; Sam Walton’s nieces No. 58 Ann Walton-Kroenke of Texas and No.  69 Nancy Walton-Laurie of Nevada; and No. 74 Christy Walton of Wyoming, Lukas Walton's mother and the widow of Sam Walton’s son John Walton.
