Josh Baker has been promoted to city president for Citizens Bank in Hot Springs. Baker’s previous position was senior vice president and commercial loan officer for Citizens Bank in Little Rock. Baker has 15 years of financial institution experience.
Joshua Shannon has joined Abaca in North Little Rock as senior developer. Shannon previously served as senior software engineer at Lindsey Software Systems. Abaca has also promoted Sean Russell to vice president of technology. Abaca enables financial services such as banking, lending and electronic payment processing for the cannabis industry.
Brian Thomas has been hired as director of sales by the Computer Hut in Little Rock. Thomas has more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications and IT and has helped many businesses in Arkansas improve their IT systems. Most recently, Thomas worked in cloud solutions for Ritter Communications, helping businesses leverage the cloud for their IT needs.
Hamza Qadir has been hired as program manager of fintech accelerators for The Venture Center in Little Rock. Qadir previously served as the business and innovations lead for Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield, where he served global clients, including Walmart, Tyson Foods and J.B. Hunt. Qadir also launched a small startup focused on medical scribing and transcription services.
