Best Places to Work: Total Quality Logistics

2 min read
Total Quality Logistics
Lowell
Employees: 4,200
Industry Type: Transportation

Arranging for the movement of more than 30,000 shipments each week is no easy task, but Total Quality Logistics (TQL) has a culture that makes work rewarding.

Each day brings a new challenge and each challenge brings new opportunity. A competitive spirit, work ethic and industry-leading technology, combined with unlimited earning potential and generous benefits, are core to TQL’s success.

Giving back to the communities is also part of the culture. TQL Cares, the company’s charitable giving program, was established in 2006 to help amplify employees’ charitable giving desires and efforts. In 2017, TQL and its employees gave $1.6 million in support of more than 1,800 different charities around the world.

TQL’s Athletics program lets employees participate in intramural sports leagues at a reduced cost while representing TQL in the community.

Employees form teams and TQL pays 50 percent of the fees and gives everyone a TQL T-shirt. TQL Athletics includes an annual TQL DietBet competition in which participants pay in to compete to lose 4 percent of their body weight or more in a four-week period, winning cash and prizes.

DID YOU KNOW?
The TQL President’s Club is an incentive program open to all account executives. The top 2 percent in each tenure group win an all-expenses-paid getaway, with a guest, to a designated tropical destination.

New this year is a StepBet competition in which participants meet daily step goals.

In addition to health benefits, TQL offers every employee legal benefits and identity theft protection as well as discounted pet insurance through the Perks at Work program.

In-depth training, recognition programs, service anniversaries, theme days, incentives, and fun and games like “Live Mario Kart” help fuel TQL’s unique and energetic culture centered around celebrating victories big and small.
