Collins Recognized for Community Service (Movers & Shakers)

Mattie P. Collins has received the 2020 Lugean L. Chilcote Award from the Arkansas Community Foundation board of directors in Little Rock.

Collins was given the award for outstanding service to philanthropy and community.

Collins is a retired teacher with 39 years of experience in Gould and Pine Bluff. She is also the president and founder of the Ivy Center for Education.

Stan Carmack, Angie Halverson, Dr. Frank Schefano and Dane Womack have been elected to the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation board of directors in Paragould.

Carmack is the director of pharmacy services at AMMC.

Halverson is a certified Jazzercise instructor and chairperson of the liturgical committee at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Schefano is an anesthesiologist at AMMC.

Womack serves as senior pastor of Paragould First United Methodist Church.
