$105M Building Permit Issued for Amazon Project

1 min read

Alston Construction Co. of Collierville, Tennessee, took out a $105 million building permit on Dec. 29 for an Amazon fulfillment center at 13001 U.S. 70 in North Little Rock.

The permit describes the project as a warehouse/distribution facility with 1.03 million SF of warehouse space and 24,395 SF of office space — a total of nearly 1.06 million SF.

Amazon confirmed last month its plans to open this center next year and create more than 500 full-time jobs with a minimum $15 per hour wage there. The 154-acre tract the center will be built on is owned by Tulip Farms Inc. and is near the Galloway exit.

The Galloway project will be the Seattle-based online retailer’s sixth location and second fullment center in central Arkansas. The other center is 825,000 SF and set to open at the Little Rock Port later this year. It will employ more than 1,000 full-time workers.
