Brent Standridge (Arkansas Scholarship Lottery)

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has hired Brent Standridge as its chief legal counsel, effective Feb. 8.

Standridge’s annual salary will be $111,504. He brings 35 years of legal experience to the role. He most recently served as the chief/managing public defender for Saline County.

“The Chief Legal Counsel must have a versatile set of skills,” Lottery Director Eric Hagler said in a news release. “Brent has literally seen the legal landscape from all vantage points — prosecutor, defense counsel, and judge. His breadth of experience and knowledge will greatly benefit the Lottery, as we strive to continue to deliver outsized net proceeds for the benefit of scholarships for Arkansas students. We are excited to have Brent join our executive team.”

Standridge received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
