Did you know Arkansas Urology recently spent about $2.8 million for 7 acres in Springdale for a northwest campus?

The privately owned physician practice headquartered in Little Rock plans to build at the location off of Don Tyson Parkway.

Arkansas Urology has been renting space in the area since 2019, but it wanted a permanent spot, E. Scot Davis, CEO of Arkansas Urology, told Whispers.

He said he hopes construction will start on the state-of-the-art urological clinic later this year. “Northwest is a really huge emerging market for health care,” Davis said.

The purchase of the land, which was done through the practice’s holding company, Freeway Park Properties LLC, is the latest sign of the growth of Arkansas Urology, which has 18 urologists on staff.

“We’re growing to meet the demand of an aging population that needs urological services,” he said.

The group has about 15 locations around Arkansas and sees 110,000 patients yearly for conditions ranging from prostate cancer to overactive bladder.
