Roberts Advances at Lyon College (Movers & Shakers)

Madeline Roberts has been promoted to executive director of strategic marketing and communication at Lyon College in Batesville. Roberts was previously the director of communications at the university.

In her new position, Roberts is responsible for developing and executing the office’s three-year plan for brand awareness.

Bob Stark is retiring from the University of Arkansas at Monticello after 24 years, effective June 30. He serves in the College of Forestry, Agriculture & Natural Resources, where he has taught 14 courses, including farm management, commodity marketing, contract marketing and futures trading, and agricultural policy site-specific farm management.

Stark, who has won a number of teaching and other awards, has done extension and research work in soybeans and corn and has published the weekly Arkansas market reports.

He has also written the economics section of the Arkansas Soybean Research Verification Program’s annual report for 17 years.


Ali Ubeyitogullari

Ali Ubeyitogullari has joined the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, the research arm of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture in Fayetteville, as a food engineer.

Ubeyitogullari also has a teaching appointment in the UA’s Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences.

Before joining the Division of Agriculture and Bumpers College last year, Ubeyitogullari served postdoctoral appointments at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Cornell University in New York.
