Carroll Elected to American Pharmacists Board (Movers & Shakers)

Stephen Carroll of Benton has been elected to the board of trustees of the American Pharmacists Association in Washington, D.C.

Carroll, whose term will start in March 2022, will serve for three years.

Carroll, who practices at and is a co-owner of AllCare Specialty Pharmacy in Little Rock, has also served as president of the board of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association. He was appointed to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission and served as a commissioner from 2016 to 2019.

He completed his MBA at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2006. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Arkansas State University.

Justin Reynolds has been promoted to vice president, and Jeremy Wesson has been promoted to director of the organization and member programs division of the Arkansas Farm Bureau in Little Rock.

Reynolds is now responsible for coordinating and implementing all Farm Bureau programs and activities related directly to county farm bureaus. He has been with the organization since 2006, having served as director of organization and member programs and as director of the 13-county South-Central District.

Wesson will now be responsible for improving programs offered to members. He’ll also assist Reynolds with supervision of department staff and cooperating with other departments in carrying out the organization’s goals. Wesson joined the organization in 2000 and has served as director of the 12-county Northeast District.


Hunter Ballard has been promoted to deputy chief of staff for internal operations by Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Ballard has worked for Hutchinson since 2015, beginning as a counselor for constituent services. Since 2019, he has been director of operations for the governor. Ballard is replacing Ateca Foreman, who has been appointed director of the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission.


Jennifer Owens Buie has been hired as director of development and marketing at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock. Buie previously was the director of development of the Thea Foundation in North Little Rock.
