Hytrol Conveyor Receives Valentine (Movers & Shakers)

Christy Valentine has joined Hytrol Conveyor Co. in Jonesboro as manager of academic partnerships.

Valentine has more than 25 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit fundraising.

Jennifer Peszka and Carol West have been named to distinguished professorships at Hendrix College in Conway.

Peszka, a psychology professor, will be the fifth holder of the Virginia A. McCormick Pittman Professorship, which was established in 1981.

West, an English professor, will hold the Harold & Lucy Cabe Distinguished Professorship, which was instituted in 1977, the year West began her career at Hendrix.

They will be formally installed in an Aug. 26 ceremony.


Carey Tucker has been appointed vice chancellor for finance and administration at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.

Tucker was previously vice president of finance and administration at South Arkansas Community College. He also has experience in executive management for auxiliary operations at the El Dorado Conference Center.


Matthew Humphries of Little Rock has been selected to serve on the MSP Champions Council of the CompTIA Information Sharing & Analysis Organization. Humphries is the managing partner of Allied Technology Group LLC.
