Beth-Anne Bygum Joins Forge Institute Advisory Board

The Forge Institute of Little Rock said Tuesday that Beth-Anne Bygum, chief security and compliance officer for Acxiom of Conway, has joined the institute's advisory board.

"Acxiom and I very much support Forge Institute's mission to transform Arkansas and the nation's workforce into capable cyber defenders," Bygum said in a news release. "I'm glad to lend whatever I can to harden our country's cyber defenses."

Bygum the latest cybersecurity expert to join the Forge Institute advisory board, which includes former and current members of major companies and defense institutions such as the CIA, FBI and U.S. military.

Bygum has more than 25 years of experience in directing programs related to information security, risk management, IT compliance, information governance and IT training. At Acxiom, she works with leaders across the company on security for digital and cloud services.

In March, Forge announced a partnership with Acxiom to provide more cybersecurity training opportunities and have Arkansans hired to fill cybersecurity positions. Last year, Forge announced a partnership with the state Department Education to provide virtual cybersecurity training to district and school technology staff across the state.
