UCA's Horpedahl Noted for Pandemic Analysis (Movers & Shakers)

Jeremy Horpedahl, an associate professor of economics at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, has been recognized by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University of Fairfax, Virginia.

Horpedahl received an award for his policy and data analysis on pandemic-related economic topics such as coronavirus precautions, tolls and trends, vaccination development and distribution, and unemployment, as well as local, national and worldwide financial impacts.


Amber Gregory of the Arkansas State Library in Little Rock has been recognized on the Library Journal’s 2021 Movers & Shakers list.

The list names 46 people who are moving the library field forward as a profession.

Gregory manages E-rate services, the federal program that provides the discounts that allow many public libraries and schools to afford broadband services and equipment.

Jeremy Miller and Tanner Riggin have joined the Arkansas Farm Bureau.

Miller has been hired as district director for the northwest district, and Riggin has been hired as district director for the northeast district.

Miller has years of experience with the Farm Bureau, sitting on the state board for more than three years and serving as president of the Madison County Farm Bureau for 10 years.

Riggin has previously worked for Bunge North America, Farm Credit Midsouth and AgHeritage Farm Credit Services.


Jude Kearney of Little Rock has been elected chair of the Winrock International board of directors.

Kearney is managing partner of ASAFO & Co. LLP’s office in Washington, D.C. He has served on Winrock’s board since 2015.
