Snake Hill Landmark Sells Again

Snake Hill Landmark Sells Again
The former home of John Rogers on Avondale Road in North Little Rock

The house that fraud built on North Little Rock’s Snake Hill has a new owner after a reported $1.4 million transaction.

3700 Avondale LLC, led by Marcus Barela, purchased the gated 12,499-SF manor in the Lakewood neighborhood from Joseph William “Billy” Folen IV, who financed the entire purchase price. We understand that Barela is the proprietor of Fr8Auctions in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

The recent shift in ownership marks the fourth time a new name has entered the picture since the grand home was built in 2010 for sports memorabilia counterfeiter John Rogers.

Conway’s Centennial Bank took possession of the 5.5-acre property at a $1.2 million foreclosure sale in January 2016. The bank listed the residence for sale at $1.7 million.

Next up were Richard and Patricia Elimon, who paid nearly $1.3 million in August 2016. In turn, they sold it to Folen in January 2020 for more than $1.3 million.
