Bill Sabo has been hired as regional office director for the new Arkansas Small Business & Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith after a nationwide search.
Sabo most recently worked in economic development in New Orleans, but he also owned his own marketing company and has more than 20 years of experience with various media companies.
The new ASBTDC joins nine other centers at universities and colleges around the state.
Richard Woolridge, associate professor of information systems, has been named the interim chair of the Department of Management, Marketing & Technology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
