BNI Founder Ivan Misner Talks Networking on Next ‘Business Forum’ Webcast

Ivan Misner, founder and chief visionary officer of business networking organization BNI, will lead the 11th webcast in a series presented by Arkansas Business this year.

The “21st Century Business Forum,” sponsored by CHI St. Vincent, is a monthly webcast featuring authors, entrepreneurs and key leaders in business and sports. It’s hosted by author Jon Gordon, who has written on leadership, sales and teamwork.

The show aims to inform and inspire Arkansas business leaders — executives, managers and entrepreneurs — with engaging interviews that yield practical advice for leading organizations and achieving success.

The 40-minute episode, featuring an interview with Misner, will broadcast at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10.

Misner has been called the “Father of Modern Networking” by Forbes and CNN, and he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

Founded in 1985, Misner’s BNI has more than 10,000 chapters throughout every populated continent of the world. Last year, it generated $16.2 billion dollars worth of business for its members.

Misner is also a bestselling author and has written 26 books. He is a columnist for Entrepreneur.com and has been a professor and trustee at the University of La Verne.

The Red Cross has named him “Humanitarian of the Year,” and he’s earned the John C. Maxwell Leadership Award. Misner and his late wife, Elisabeth, co-founded the BNI Charitable Foundation as well.
