Chis Milum, a lender at First Community Bank of Batesville, recently received the Gen. Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award for his service as captain and company commander of the Army National Guard’s 224th Maintenance Company in Mountain Home.
He was among 28 company-grade officers who received the MacArthur honor during a ceremony at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, last month.
Milum was recently honored by the Arkansas Bankers Association with the Bill Holmes Leadership Award and selected as the Army National Guard’s Company Grade Officer of the Year by the National Guard Association of Arkansas.
Josh Price, a Democratic candidate for Arkansas secretary of state, was among 25 Filipino-Americans honored last month during the Outstanding Filipinos in America awards ceremony in New York.
Price previously served as election commissioner for Pulaski County.
Former U.S. District Judge J. Leon Holmes has returned to the Quattlebaum Grooms & Tull law firm in Little Rock, and Shelley Fleisch-Djurica and John M. Jewell have joined the firm.
Holmes is of counsel, working on litigation and appeals, at the firm where he was a partner before serving nearly 16 years on the federal bench in the Eastern District of Arkansas. He resigned his commission as judge in 2020.
Fleisch-Djurica is an associate practicing primarily in banking, IT and commercial transactions.
Jewell, with extensive experience in legal matters related to information technology, is also of counsel and will concentrate his practice on IT and computer and software licensing.
