Heifer International announced Thursday the appointment of Marcia Rasmussen as its new chief financial officer, effective Jan. 1.
Rasmussen was promoted following a global recruitment process and succeeds Bob Bloom, who retired in October.
She most recently served as interim CFO and, prior to that, had served as Heifer’s vice president of enterprise accounting and controller. Rasmussen brings more than ten years of experience at the nonprofit to her new role.
Prior to Heifer, she served in various financial and analytical roles for paper products giant Kimberly-Clark Corp. and Fives Giddings & Lewis, a leading manufacturer of metal-cutting machine tools.
