Citizens Bank of Batesville announced that Bill Yee has been hired as senior vice president and city president of the bank's Little Rock market.
Yee will lead efforts to grow loans and deposits, and build the bank's relationships in the market, Citizens Bank said in a news release. He was previously a senior vice president at Simmons Bank of Pine Bluff. Before then, he worked for Delta Trust & Bank of Parkdale, which was acquired by Simmons in 2014, and Regions Bank.
Yee began his decades-long career in the industry as a commissioned senior bank examiner.
Vernon Scott, executive vice president and regional president at Citizens Bank, said Yee is a "perfect fit for our bank, both in terms of culture and talent."
"He is highly respected in the Little Rock community and the banking industry as a whole," Scott said in the release. "Our customers and employees alike will enjoy working with him and will benefit from his expertise."
Yee earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and is a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He serves on the board of directors at United Cerebral Palsy and also as treasurer.
“It is an honor to be joining a team of this caliber,” Yee said. “I have worked with many of the team members in the past, and all have excellent reputations for the job they have done at Citizens Bank. It is a true pleasure to have the opportunity to lead this team in continued success.”
