Dr. Justin Michael Hire has been hired as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Upon receiving his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Hire completed an internship in orthopedic surgery, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery, at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia.

Dr. Shi-Ming Tu has been hired as a medical oncologist at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. After earning his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and completing a residency at the University of Illinois Hospitals, Tu completed a clinical fellowship in medical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.


Dr. Tracie Harrison has been named holder of the An-Loh Sun Chair in Geriatric Nursing at the College of Nursing at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Harrison joins UAMS from the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, where she is a professor. Her work has focused on aging with and into disability among diverse populations.
