John Carter to Join Citizens Bank Board of Directors

Citizens Bank of Batesville has announced that John Carter is joining its board of directors.

Carter currently works as chief investment officer at the construction and property management firm Huffman & Co. of Little Rock. In that role, he oversees the company's strategic capital investment and executive vision.

Carter spent the previous 11 years working for Bank OZK of Little Rock, most recently as chief credit officer.

Citizens Bank CEO Adam Mitchell said Carter "fits our culture perfectly."

"He is highly respected in the banking industry, and Citizens Bank will, no doubt, benefit from his expertise," Mitchell said in a news release.

Carter holds a master's in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He earned his undergraduate degree at Arkansas Tech University.

Carter serves on the board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and has served on the boards of Arkansas Tech University Business School Advisory Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas and the Arthritis Foundation. 

"It is an honor to be joining this progressive leadership team," Carter said. "The current board is highly respected in the community and I look forward to helping propel the mission of Citizens Bank forward."
