Silicon Valley veteran Richard Pulliam has joined Arvest Bank of Fayetteville as chief product and strategy officer.
Pulliam, who has more than two decades of experience in product management and strategy, will support the company’s growth initiatives by developing strategic product offerings that enhance the experience of retail and commercial customers, Arvest said in a news release.
He previously worked for the payroll services firm TriNet of Dublin, California, where he led the strategic development of new technology products. His career includes a stint in the telecom industry, as well.
Laura Merling, Arvest's chief transformation and operations officer, said she and Pulliam first began working together when modern web application programming interfaces, or APIs, began taking shape and changing online business.
"He’s proven to be an innovator inspired by the impact that technology can bring to financial services," Merling said in the release. "His experience constructing embeddable solutions and products will be an advantage to Arvest’s aggressive goals across the company. We’re thrilled to have him join the Arvest team."
Much of Pulliam's work over the past 14 years has been developing third-party tech platforms used by financial companies. He said he's excited to build such products from the inside this time.
"Arvest’s strong internal support system and commitment to investing in people and technology makes them uniquely positioned to drive banking innovation in a way larger banks simply cannot," he said in the release. "I look forward to this exciting new chapter at Arvest."
