Vietnamese Manufacturer Eyes Chicot County

A Vietnamese manufacturer of personal protective equipment is planning to open a plant in Chicot County that will employ between 200 and 300 workers.

We don’t have many details yet, but our southeast Arkansas source tells us that a letter of intent is in hand. The contracts, though, haven’t been signed just yet.

Still, last week, the company was considering several locations in the county for its plant to make latex gloves and masks.

An announcement is expected for June 10.

Stay tuned.
