It appears that Chime Solutions of Morrow, Georgia, which provides customer-contact services for a number of major companies, may be considering opening a location in Blytheville that would employ 150 workers.
The Mississippi County Quorum Court voted Tuesday night to provide $1.9 million to train workers for the company at Arkansas Northeastern College, said Clif Chitwood, economic developer for Mississippi County.
The Chime Solutions center in Blytheville would provide call center services for Cigna Insurance, based in Bloomfield, Connecticut, and would pay $15-$16 an hour.
Chime Solutions was founded by Mark Wilson, an African American entrepreneur who once operated call center services for Dun & Bradstreet Corp., Chitwood said.
The company is still looking for a location, he said. “That could be a most exciting project,” Chitwood said of Chime Solutions.
