Pulaski Tech Awarded $1.35M in Regional Workforce Grants
Four programs at UA-PTC recently received hundreds of thousands of dollars to invest in technology and equipment.

Four technical programs at the University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College will receive Regional Workforce Grant Phase II Awards totaling $1.35 million.

The collision repair and tractor trailer operation programs were awarded $400,000 apiece; the tractor trailer servicing and diesel technology program was awarded $300,000; and the aviation maintenance program was awarded $250,000.

The grants were awarded by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.

UA-PTC will use the funds to upgrade technology, utilize virtual reality trainers and simulators and purchase equipment, said Dean of the School of Technical and Professional Studies Angela Kremers, in a news release.

"The items purchased will greatly benefit students by providing high-quality training that exceeds industry expectations. Students will be well-prepared for the workforce and employers will benefit from the exceptional pipeline of employees," she continued.
