St. Bernards this week announced the hiring of three doctors.
Interventional cardiologist Dr. Lena Awar joined the medical team at St. Bernards Heart & Vascular. She arrives at St. Bernards after practicing cardiology in southern California since 2015. Awar, a Jonesboro native, earned her Doctor of Medicine from UAMS in 2014 and received her undergraduate degrees from Arkansas State University in 2010.
Internal medicine specialist Dr. Lee Cranfill joined the St. Bernards Clopton Clinic medical team, which consists of more than 20 multi-specialty healthcare providers.
Cranfill brings more than three decades of experience to the clinic, most recently as an independent physician in Jonesboro. Cranfill, a Texas native, earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Infectious disease hospitalist Dr. Cole Wood joined St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from UAMS in 2017, then completed residency with UAMS in 2020.
