Arkansas' unemployment rate remained at 3.2% in June, the state Division of Workforce Services reported late last week.
Arkansas' civilian labor force increased by 2,738, a result of 2,050 more employed and 688 additional unemployed Arkansans.
The U.S. jobless rate also didn’t change from May to June, remaining at 3.6%.
Arkansas’ nonfarm payroll jobs increased by 38,500 in June to 1.31 million. Gains were posted in eight major industry sectors:

Jobs in trade, transportation and utilities increased by 12,500, with growth in transportation-warehousing-utilities (+8,100) and wholesale trade (+5,400) reported.

Manufacturing added 7,400 jobs, with expansions in both subsectors.

Leisure and hospitality jobs rose by 6,400, mostly in accommodation and food services (+5,600).

Jobs in professional and business services increased by 4,100, where gains in management of companies (+5,900) more than offset losses in administrative and support services (-2,700).

Educational and health services gained 3,800 jobs.

Government jobs rose by 2,700.

Financial activities added 2,400 jobs.

Information jobs rose by 1,400.
The biggest job losses were seen by the other services sector (-1,300).
There were 35,117 more Arkansans employed in June than in the same month a year ago.
