Mockingbird Bar & Tacos in Little Rock has been sold to JLC Entertainment Holdings, a Cabot group led by restaurateurs Harry Einhorn, his son Joe and their longtime friends John and Lisa Campbell.
The sellers were Jack Sundell and Corri Bristow-Sundell. They had owned the restaurant at 1220 S. Main St., formerly know as Dos Rocas, since 2019.
The two also own the Root Cafe, located nearby.
Greg Henderson, commercial real estate agent and owner of Rock City Eats, brokered the deal. The price of the transaction, which closed Wednesday, was not disclosed.
JLC was founded earlier this year. The group currently runs a pizza place in Cabot.
At Mockingbird, Chef Stephen “Buddy” Seals will oversee the menu, the group said in a news release. Seals has previously worked for the Capital Hotel, John Daly’s Steakhouse, Greystone Country Club and Cracker Barrel.
Campbell said the restaurant, which serves food with a Latin American flair, is committed to using the freshest ingredients from local vendors.
“We are so very pleased to become part of the SoMa district and jumped at the chance when Greg Henderson brought this opportunity to us,” Campbell said in the release. “We will be great stewards of the community that surrounds us as we are with our current operations. We support numerous charitable organizations and feel as owners/operators that this is part of our calling.”
