The Goddard School on West Mount Comfort Road in Fayetteville sold for $4.15 million.
The buyer is Ellen Hillis, who opened the early childhood learning school last year. She and her husband, Matt, bought the 9,810-SF school through their Hillis Holdings LLC.
The Goddard School is an educational group for children between 6 weeks and 6 years old with about 560 schools in 38 states. Its website says franchisees “typically invest” up to $875,000 to start a new school.
Southern Bancorp Bank provided a $4 million loan. The seller was Mt. Comfort & Salem LLC, which had taken out a $2.5 million construction loan on the property in 2020.
