Did you know a new office building is in the works in downtown Little Rock after a $2.9 million land deal?
The building will be the new home for Parks & Tourism, which currently resides on the fourth floor of the Big Mac Building on the state Capitol grounds.
The future move will complete bringing most all of the agencies under the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage & Tourism umbrella into one location.
The new office site is a 2.6-acre parcel adjoining the department’s headquarters at 1100 North St. State government has pursued acquiring the property for years and finally closed on a transaction with 100 No. Street Q1 LLC, led by Robert Schulte and Ron Clark.
The details of the office project will be sorted out in the coming months with a development timetable expected to run over the next couple years, we’re told.
