Alcohol Retail Sales Remain Strong

After spiking during the COVID-19 pandemic, retail sales of beer, wine and liquor in the U.S. continue to remain historically high, data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis shows.

Retail sales in the three categories stood at $5.9 billion in June 2022. By comparison, they reached $4.9 billion in February 2020, before the pandemic’s effects began to be widely felt in the United States.

The figures are seasonally adjusted.
