Rock Dental Brands of Little Rock has announced the acquisition of Alabama-based Birmingham Orthodontics, bringing the company to another new market as part of its ongoing expansion.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The deal gives Rock Dental four locations in Birmingham, Alabaster, Trussville and Hoover. It now manages 98 locations across Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and Alabama.
Birmingham Orthodontics employs more than 60 people. It was founded in 1993 by Dr. Michael McCarthy, a U.S. Army veteran and graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.
“Rock Dental Brands has a reputation for operational excellence and also maintaining provider autonomy,” McCarthy said in a news release. “Birmingham Orthodontics welcomes this opportunity to join forces with Rock Dental Brands to bring more confident smiles to our community.”
Rock Dental earlier this year acquired 10 clinics across Arkansas and Missouri, including a location in Kansas City.
