Stephens Expands Team Focused on Health & Life Sciences

Stephens Inc. of Little Rock announced that Matt Dormer and Chris Cooley have joined the firm’s investment banking division as managing directors focused on health and life sciences.

Dormer, who will be based in Boston, joins the company from Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. of New York. He has more than 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, Stephens said in a news release. Dormer holds a bachelor's in biology from Davidson College and a master's in business administration from Northeastern University.

Cooley joined Stephens in 2010 and has more than 28 years of experience in the industry. He's transferring from Stephens’ equity research team. Cooley holds a bachelor's in economics from the University of Arkansas and a master's in business administration from the University of Tennessee. 

“Stephens continues to strengthen our offering within Health and Life Sciences, and the addition of Matt and Chris represents a substantial expansion of the group’s coverage and capabilities. We are very excited to have them as part of the team,” Brad Eichler, executive vice president and head of investment banking, said in the release.
