Bill Oliva has received the Bill Holmes Leadership Award from the Arkansas Bankers Association. Oliva is vice president of commercial lending and diversity outreach at First Community Bank of Batesville and was recognized for outstanding leadership among emerging leaders in banking. Oliva was also recognized during the 2022 Arkansas Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Leadership Conference.

Cinthya Allen is the new diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Arvest Bank of Fayetteville. Allen has 20 years of experience, most recently as the DEI officer and Americans With Disabilities Act coordinator for the city of Norman, Oklahoma. She also is an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

Amy Gleason has joined Southern Bancorp of Arkadelphia as its new senior manager of diversity, equity and inclusion programs and engagement. She joins the DEI team with more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and 15 in employee engagement.

Lance Penfield has been elected to the board of directors of Merchants & Farmers Bank of Dumas. Penfield is the co-owner of Baxley-Penfield-Moudy Realtors of Bryant and has 36 years of experience as a commercial real estate broker.

Chrissie Lamkin has been promoted to senior vice president, associate general counsel, at First Community Bank of Batesville. Lamkin joined First Community in 2011 as outside counsel and then as in-house associate general counsel in 2012. She obtained her law degree from the School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Brooke Upshaw has joined First Community Bank as the assistant vice president of branch operations at the bank’s Rogers branch. Upshaw has nearly a decade of experience in the finance industry and will oversee branch operations and business development.


Don Swartz is the new chief operating officer of Edafio Technology Partners of North Little Rock. Swartz has 30 years of experience in technology and operational leadership and will oversee Edafio operations and the integration of future acquisitions.
