Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale named Wes Morris as the company’s president of poultry and consumer sales.
Morris, a former executive with the company, started Thursday. He has 35 years of experience in the industry and was at Tyson Foods in various leadership positions between 1999 and 2017, when he retired as president of prepared foods operations.
Morris was CFO at Simmons Foods in Siloam Springs after retiring from Tyson Foods before returning to serve as a consultant. Morris replaces David Bray, who had served as president of poultry since 2021.
Tyson Foods thanked Bray for his “contributions to the company” but gave no reason for Bray’s departure.
“Wes is a recognized leader who will help position us for continued success and the future growth of our chicken segment,” Tyson Foods CEO Donnie King said. “We’re confident his experience will help us continue to strengthen our chicken operations and meet growing consumer demand for Tyson brand products.”
