New Leadership Within the DP&L FamilyLock Icon

2 min read

Fresh on the heels of news that the Parke family recently purchased all stock in Democrat Printing & Lithographing comes word on family-centered leadership changes in the business that four generations of Parkes have built up in Little Rock.

Franke Parke III remains company chairman after 42 years with the enterprise. His sister Emily Parke Stevens is now president, and brother John Parke is chief executive officer. “Emily and John were previously with the company and are happy to be back,” according to a letter from the siblings to DP&L customers. “Additionally, John’s son, Logan Parke, returns to work in management.”

Other family members are on the executive committee providing informational technology and operating support, the letter said, “all committed to providing quality product and service.”

The siblings’ great-grandfather, A.W. Parke, bought the commercial printing division of the daily Arkansas Democrat in 1906, and DP&L was established through a series of mergers. “At least one member of our family has worked here ever since,” the siblings wrote.

Most of the team will remain the same, the letter said, mentioning managers Matt Saddler, Steve Hodges, Nicki Branson and Davina Axsom, as well as account executives Alan Mazander, Pam Shock, Joale Hale and Christy Harper.

The letter also paid tribute to the Whitneys, whom the Parkes bought out in December: “We appreciate the years of dedication from the Whitney family and wish them well on future endeavors.”
