In 2020, Patrick Schueck became CEO of Lexicon Inc. and worked at changing the attitude of the company from the inside.
“We’re an ever-changing company, and when my dad was alive, we were very dictatorial. We were very good at executing our projects and very good at doing what we were told,” he said. “What we’ve been able to do since 2020 was gather people up and make people understand that we’re better together than we are alone, eliminate the silos and be incredibly present with each other, which allows for better growth across the company.”
Schueck believes that Lexicon needs a compatible team to meet clients’ expectations of the company.
“At Lexicon, we put people, quality, safety and innovation first in everything that we do. We strongly believe that if we keep looking through that lens… the sky’s the limit for what we can do,” Schueck said.
Schueck finds that encouraging communication, collaboration and innovation has helped the company continue to thrive in recent years.
“I guess, at the end of the day, our management staff here is ever changing because we believe if we should remain the same, we’re going to fall behind,” Schueck said. “We’ve done an excellent job of making sure everyone is heard and everything is acted upon for the betterment of the company. And this is a damn good place to work — people are having fun.”
