Arkansas Children’s Gets $5.9M From Miracle Network Fundraisers

1 min read

More than 40 members of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals from across the region raised a total of $5.9 million for Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Northwest in 2022, the system announced Wednesday.

The partners include businesses from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

“Thanks to the hard work of hundreds of volunteers across the region, the funds raised will stay local and help make children better today and healthier tomorrow,” Taylor Speegle, executive director of philanthropy for Arkansas Children’s Foundation, said in a news release.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a nonprofit that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals that support the health of 10 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada.

Donations go to local hospitals to fund life-saving treatments and health care services, along with research and pediatric medical equipment. Donations also fund services that aim to put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays and provide financial assistance.

The gift to Arkansas Children’s comes after the system announced a $318 million expansion that calls for hundreds of new employees, new programs and construction of new facilities in Little Rock and northwest Arkansas. It’s the pediatric care system’s largest-ever project.
