Community development finance firm Arkansas Capital Corp. announced that Carroll Penick has been elected as the new chair of the organization's board of directors.
Penick is the director of bank software company BankLabs of Little Rock and has more than 35 years of experience in commercial banking central Arkansas. He joined the Arkansas Capital board in 2018.
The board also elected Bryan Scoggins as vice chair. Scoggins is co-founder of Barker Scoggins Consulting and has more than three decades of experience in areas of economic development and finance through the Arkansas Development Finance Authority and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. He has been a member of the Arkansas Capital board since 2016.
In a statement, Arkansas Capitol CEO Sam Walls said, "A major reason for ACC’s 65-year success has been the quality, expertise, and commitment of our Board of Directors. Carroll and Bryan continue this long tradition of outstanding leadership on our board."
