Bark Bar co-founders Elizabeth Michael and Dan Roda have sold the dog park and restaurant in Little Rock to entrepreneur William Doxey, they announced in a news release.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Michael and Roda, who launched Bark Bar in 2017, said that they're looking to focus on their family and other ventures. She's the owner of marketing consultancy firm Marian and a partner in cannabis ad firm Bud Agency. He's an attorney, real estate developer, and executive vice president and chief operating officer of Safe Harbor Financial. The company recently purchased Abaca, the cannabis fintech firm Roda co-founded.

The couple welcomed their first child last year.

"I'm incredibly proud of the journey Bark Bar has undertaken over the past six years," Michael said in the release. "However, with our current workload and growing family, the time felt right to entrust Bark Bar to capable hands."

Doxey is known as the owner of online dog gear and treat retailer Puppy Community. Doxey, who previously worked in technology product management, will use Bark Bar to establish a brick-and-mortar presence for Puppy Community and grow the brand.

He also plans to expand the kitchen, upgrade the outdoor play area and give the interior space a makeover.

"I'm eager to build upon the fantastic foundation that the Bark Bar established," Doxey said in the release.
