$1M Renovation Of CARTI Clinic in Conway is Underway

1 min read

The CARTI Radiation Oncology facility at 2605 College Ave. in Conway is being renovated for $1 million to maximize efficiency and patient access.

The general contractor for the project, which is expected to be complete in mid-September, is Nabholz Construction.

The 13,400-SF center will house clinical services for medical and radiation oncology and diagnostic radiation. Radiation therapy and medical oncology were previously provided at two separate locations. It will also feature a new chemotherapy infusion center with 15 heated chairs (there are 12 now) with extra room for family members and the space to grow at a later date.

The public will also see upgrades to the clinic’s lobby, atrium, coffee/refreshment bar, Wi-Fi, digital patient education and resource library when the project is complete.

Dr. Jamie Burton, Dr. Ryan Hall and Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn will provide medical oncology. Dr. Christopher Pope will continue providing radiation oncology services.

Adam Head, CARTI president and CEO, said in a news release, “From minimizing the steps a patient has to take between registration and end-of-treatment, to state-of-the-art equipment for optimal patient comfort, the delivery of care will make a huge difference to patients who receive their treatment in Conway.”

Existing radiation oncology services will not be disrupted. Services are being added, but the footprint of the building is not expanding.
