Dr. Onna Lau and Dr. Shami Nandy have joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as physicians in the Thomas & Lyon Longevity Clinic in the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging. Both will serve as assistant professors in the College of Medicine’s Department of Geriatrics. Lau started with UAMS in 2018 as a resident in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine. Nandy will also serve with the geriatrics consult service and will be involved in clinical research on dementia.
Desa Rae West has joined the Washington Regional Cardiovascular Clinic in the Walker Heart Institute of Fayetteville. West is an advanced practice registered nurse and will see patients with heart rhythm abnormalities.
Alzheimer’s Arkansas has announced the 2023 members of the executive committee of its board of directors. Heather Savage, chief human resources officer at Arkansas Federal Credit Union, is chairman of the board. Melissa Longing of Danny Longing Properties in Conway is vice chairman, and Ken Compton, partner at JTK Investments, is treasurer.
