Bobby Petrino’s $2.5 Million Home Is For Sale, And Has Been Since 2010

FAYETTEVILLE – Former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino’s home is for sale and listed for $2.5 million, according to a report Thursday by The Associated Press.

But as Arkansas Business sister site ArkansasSports360.com has reported, the home has been for sale since 2010.

The 8,741-SF house has been listed since May 6, 2010, and features six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and three half bathrooms. The house sits on a nearly 3-acre lot and features theatre and game rooms as well as a double-staircase entrance.

ArkansasSports360.com reported about the home going on the market last year. A source familiar with the situation had said that a number of factors contributed to the couple wanting to downsize.

At the time, Petrino’s youngest daughter was about to graduate from high school, which meant that soon none of the couple’s four children would be living at home. The source also said the family still owned a home in Atlanta, where a tough housing market had made a sale difficult.

The Petrinos bought the home from Justin and Susan Salter for $2.25 million. They purchased it with a $2.14 million mortgage from Signature Bank of Arkansas.

The Salters built the home in 2006. In 2007, the home appraised for $1.17 million.

Petrino was fired Tuesday after failing to reveal he had hired his mistress and paid her $20,000.
