Frontier Airlines to Add Little Rock to Routes

Frontier Airlines is adding two cities to its route map, Little Rock and Palm Springs Calif.

Frontier, based in Denver, on Monday announced it would begin nonstop service between Denver and Little Rock in addition to nonstop seasonal service between Denver and Palm Springs. Service to both cities starts Nov. 17, Frontier said in a news release. The seasonal flights to Palm Springs will run through mid-May 2012.

"Introductory fares begin at $99 each way for the new Little Rock service and $79 each way for the new Palm Springs service," the release said. The fares can be found at FrontierAirlines.com/introfares through Aug. 22 for travel Dec. 1-15, 2011, and Jan. 6 through Feb. 15, 2012.

In addition, the airline said, members of Frontier's EarlyReturns frequent flyer program can earn double miles for every qualifying trip they take on the new Little Rock and Palm Springs routes through Dec. 17, 2011.

"Little Rock and Palm Springs are two more Denver markets that will benefit from Frontier providing the only nonstop low-cost service," said Daniel Shurz, vice president of strategy and planning for Frontier. "We expect a great response to our attractive fares and convenient connections to a wide range of destinations."

Flights will be on 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft. The aircraft don't have middle seats but do have up to 5 inches of additional legroom on every flight, the release said.

Frontier is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings Inc.
