Fox 16 watchers who have noticed an unfamiliar face with anchor Kelly Dudzik on the 9 p.m. news show Saturdays and Sundays are spotting new weekend anchor Hubert Tate.
Tate replaced previous weekend anchor Justin Earley, who left the station June 11 to take a lead anchor position at a CBS affiliate in Tyler, Texas.
Tate came to Arkansas from WALA, a Fox station in Mobile, Ala., where he was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor.
As of July 21, Tate appears on the 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts as a general assignment reporter during the week, in addition to serving as weekend anchor.
News Director Ed Trauschke said Tate brings experience covering the Southeast and comes from a market comparable to that of Fox 16’s in Little Rock.
