UPDATED: Official Search for Glasgow Ends; Volunteers Continue Efforts at Petit Jean
Volunteers continue searching after law enforcement turns up no sign of CDI Contractors' CFO John Glasgow, missing since Monday.
Law enforcement agencies have called off a five-day search for Little Rock businessman John Glasgow after turning up no new leads, the missing man's brother told ArkansasBusiness.com Saturday morning.

Roger Glasgow said his brother's wife, Melinda, was at Petit Jean State Park coordinating continuing efforts by volunteer searchers, including about 50 from CDI Contractors of Little Rock, where John, 45, has been chief financial officer for 12 years.

John Glasgow's Volvo was found parked at the park's Mather Lodge on Tuesday, the day after Melinda Glasgow filed a missing person report with the Little Rock Police Department.

Saturday afternoon, CDI Chairman and CEO William Clark thanked law enforcement for their help in the search.

"It is unfortunate that John has not yet been located despite a long, intensive search of the area," Clark said. "We appreciate all the state and local agencies, law enforcement officers and volunteers for their efforts. CDI will continue to assist the efforts of John Glasgow's family and friends in their search for him."

The Arkansas State Police and Conway County Sheriff's Office led a search that included personnel from the State Parks & Tourism Department, Franklin County Search & Rescue, Buffalo River National Park Service, Arkansas Game & Fish Department and the Pope County Office of Emergency Services. Roger Glasgow, a partner in the Wright Lindsey & Jennings law firm in Little Rock, said he hadn't known that Arkansas was capable of mounting such an intensive search.

He said the Volvo - unlocked and with John Glasgow's laptop computer in it - remains the only clue to the missing man's whereabouts. The car was found after Alltel traced a "ping" from Glasgow's company-provided cell phone off a tower near Petit Jean, but the phone has not been used since he vanished. John Glasgow's credit cards have also not been used, Roger Glasgow said.

The Volvo has been processed for fingerprints and other evidence by the Arkansas State Police and was being returned to the family, Roger Glasgow said.
