Black River Technical College of Pocahontas has promoted several employees to new positions. Brad Caffrey has been promoted to the position of maintenance assistant. Caffrey graduated from BRTC and has worked in both purchasing and the cafeteria since 2013. Ashley Conrey is now the assistant director of financial aid. Conrey graduated from the University of Arkansas and has worked at the college as a financial aid analyst since 2014. Jessica Crow has been promoted to food preparation specialist. She was previously serving as the administrative specialist for corporate and community education. Margo Davis is now the career pathways director. She has worked at BRTC as the coordinator of recruitment, retention and placement since 2008. Shawna Lepard has been promoted to development specialist. Lepard also graduated from BRTC and has worked as the administrative specialist for institutional advancement since 2014. In addition to the promotions, Kimberly Griffey has joined BRTC as a nursing instructor. She was previously a nurse at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro and an adjunct clinical instructor at the college.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has hired four in the Office of Alumni & Development. Tommy Goucher has been named national director of development. Goucher will be responsible for connecting with alumni outside of Arkansas. Stephanie Purifoy is the new director of development for external relations in the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences & Education. She previously worked for the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance and Audubon Arkansas. Catie Ross has been hired as the associate director for alumni membership and engagement. She is responsible for growing Alumni Association membership and planning events. Laterika Tooks is the new director of annual giving, where she will work to increase yearly giving to the university. She previously worked as a constituent events manager. Additionally, two faculty members have been promoted. Derek Boyce has been promoted to director of development for university initiatives and corporate and foundation relations. He will work to grow university programs. Kristi Smith has been promoted to associate vice chancellor of alumni and development. Her new role includes leadership of the Alumni Association, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations and planned giving.

CJRW of Little Rock has made two new hires. Tiffany Adams has joined CJRW as a senior writer and editorial content manager. Adams was previously the managing editor of At Home in Arkansas magazine in Little Rock for nearly a decade. Megan Alvarado has been hired as a production artist. Alvarado was previously the art director at The Design Group of Little Rock.
